Apple finally rolled out the much-awaited iOS 18.4 update for compatible devices, introducing the Apple Intelligence features for all users. Apple’s latest updates also include iPadOS 18.
4 and macOS Sequoia 15.4, allowing users to access Apple Intelligence across the Apple ecosystem. Per the company, the cutting-edge features will be available to the users by adapting to their language, thereby providing a bespoke and personal experience.
Some of the prominent features shipped in the updates include a bevy of Writing Tools, Clean Up tool for photo editing, Smart Search and Memories for photos, Genmoji, Image Wand for notes, and more. Here’s a brief overview of each of the AI-enabled tools launched in the latest updates and some more. Visual Intelligence : This smart feature helps the users not only recognize objects but also perform visual search via ChatGPT and Google Search.
Users can also create events on Google Calendar from posters and other visual media on the device. Image Wand in Notes : This new feature helps users convert doodles and rough sketches into AI-generated polished images. The tool also uses Apple Intelligence for enhanced note-taking.
Image Playground : More AI-enabled image generation tools that users can use to produce illustrations in various styles! This is a standalone app that is integrated into Keynote, Freeform, and Messages, among other native apps. Clean Up : This new AI feature helps users remove artifacts and people from photos in the gallery. Smart Search : Users can now use this brand-new feature to get the exact picture they’re looking for in a gallery of thousands with a simple text-based search, e.
g., ‘James Paul dancing in the park wearing school dress .’ Genmoji : Users can now generate emojis on demand, creating personalized ones based on the photos of their families or friends.
Speaking of emojis , the new iOS 18.4 update is shipped with 8 new emojis that include 1) a fingerprint, 2) a new Syrian flag, 3) a shovel, 4) a harp, 5) a turnip, 6) a leafless tree, 7) a baggy-eyed face, and 8) a blue splatter. These new emojis are also included in tvOS 18.
4, macOS 15.4 and watchOS 11.4.
Users can check the updates under the phone’s Settings app. The features are available to all iPhones that support iOS 18.4 models, while the Apple Intelligence is exclusive for all iPhone 16 models, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max.
