Krafton’s new The Sims competitor InZoi has launched to massive player counts with modders already competing to make the best mods for the game. With the game launching with some minor issues, the dev team is already planning massive updates for the game’s future.In a lengthy thank you letter to fans, InZoi game director Kjun explained the team’s plans for the future of the game.
Alongside expressing the team’s “heartfelt gratitude for your overwhelming love”, the developer apologised for the title’s “many shortcomings” during its early access launch.InZoi won’t be just another early access gameIn the statement to fans, Kjun explained that the team feels “as anxious as a parent watching their child’s first kindergarten performance” as streamers and content creators show off the game. The director explained that while the game “might feel unstable and incomplete at times”, the studio is working rapidly to improve the game,“The inZOI team always keeps an eye on the messages you send, and we are committed to working even harder to reciprocate your kindness,” the InZoi game director said.
“Although we may be lacking right now, we are determined to prove that this is not just another “Early Access” game that just take advantage of it. We truly wish to communicate with you, build this game together, and remain dedicated to that promise.”"With your encouragement, I promise to keep expanding inZOI.
"GAME DIRECTOR KJUNKjun explained that InZoi initially began as a “small, personal endevour” to create their own version of The Sims. While the developer has said in the past that the game can’t hold a candle to EA’s The Sims 4 yet, the studio hopes it can one day be on par with the game’s slew of content and options.After a short break, the InZoi team will be working to evolve the game “week by week” with a host of gameplay improvements.
