LAHORE - The ITF Pakistan Zainab Ali Naqvi Memorial World Juniors Tennis Championship 2025, organised by the Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF), continued in full swing at the PTF Tennis Complex in Islamabad, drawing young talent from around the world. A total of 59 players—38 boys and 21 girls—representing 14 countries including Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Singapore, Turkey, Japan, China, Austria, Uzbekistan, the United Kingdom, Canada, Russia, Sweden, South Korea, and Sri Lanka, are participating in the prestigious international event. The tournament is held in memory of Zainab Ali Naqvi, a gifted young tennis player from Karachi who tragically passed away on February 12, 2024, after suffering a heart attack during an ITF Junior Tournament in Islamabad.
This championship serves as both a tribute to her passion for the sport and a platform to inspire future tennis stars. In the boys’ singles qualifying final round, Danial Shalkhimbayev (KAZ) defeatedSeungwoo Han (KOR) 6-1, 6-3, Platon Kovalyov (KAZ) defeated Djamal Khakimov (RUS) 7-6(1), 6-1 and Diar Amanbek (KAZ) defeated Ayaan Malik (PAK) 6-2, 6-3.
