Around 60 people overseas have shown interest in participating in the World Coconut Day celebrations that will be hosted by Kokonas Indastri Koporesen in Port Moresby from September 30 to October 4, 2024. Mr Alan Aku, Managing Director for Kokonas Indastri Koporesen, made this known when asked by Post-Courier Online about the number of participants from other countries coming to the event. “We currently have close to 60 people who have indicated that they will be in from Different countries to attend the celebrations.

“There are more that have already Indicated we are going through the Visa process now, many of them are waiting. Apart from the attendees, Mr Aku pointed out that close to five (50) exhibitors from Indonesia, India, and Sri Lanka will be coming to display their products. The three-day event will feature Seminars exhibitions, competitions, awards, and a site tour of East New Britain.



Around 20 Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in the in-coconut space in PNG will participate in the event. The diamond sponsor for the event and the naming rights partner announced by the Kokonas Indastri Koporesen (KIK) today is WR Carpenter (PNG) Group who supported KIK with K500,000 in hosting the event..
