Who lives here Elizabeth Pakchung, company director and lawyer and supporter of fashion, art and architecture. What I did “The property was old and tired when I bought it, but I could see the potential,” says Pakchung. “I enlisted Brooke Aitken Design to guide a substantial renovation, but I had a lot of input.
The residence is now a stunning contemporary home, and a lift was also installed to help future-proof it.” Favourite room “The natural light and beauty of the open-plan living, dining and kitchen area is exceptional,” says Pakchung. “This space faces Sydney Harbour with floor-to-ceiling windows and flows on to a large balcony.
” The ’hood “I love the liveability and walkability of Kirribilli, the village atmosphere and the ferries – it’s a five-minute ride to the city!” Future plans “Inside, the work is done but I’m always on the lookout for unusual pieces to fill my home,” says Pakchung. Outside, sandstone-tiered garden works are underway to create terraces and orderly green zones. Best advice “Working with an outstanding architect and interior designer is a must.
