Inside the new hotel which has replaced Holiday Inn

A major refurbishment has finished at a former Holiday Inn. Valor Hospitality and voco hotels have joined forces to transform a hotel into voco Fareham -Solent. The rebranding was part of a significant investment that also saw the creation of Brickworks Lounge & Grill, a new restaurant.

The refurbishment, managed by Valor Hospitality, included a redesign of the hotel's 130 king-sized bedrooms. The aim was to reflect the laid-back charm of IHG's voco brand, creating a premium, personalised experience. The new restaurant, Brickworks Lounge & Grill, forms part of Valor Hospitality's global SAVOR portfolio.



This is intended to create authentic food and beverage experiences, led by a team of culinary experts. Brickworks will be open all day for hotel guests and local diners, offering cocktails and a premium menu from the open grill. (Image: Supplied) The hotel's leisure club has also been refurbished, featuring a heated indoor pool, sauna, steam room and a state-of-the-art gym for guests and members. The bedroom and bathroom renovations were designed by Greyline Design, and include new artwork, upgraded furnishings and indulgent bedding. All replaced items were either recycled or repurposed to avoid landfill waste.

New sustainable features, such as aerated showerheads and energy-efficient lighting, have been introduced to cut carbon emissions. George French, general manager at voco Fareham-Solent, said: "I’d like to extend my thanks to the whole team here at voco Fareham-Solent, each of whom have been central to reviving and refreshing our hotel. "This includes incorporating the voco brand and its beautiful signature touches to create a relaxed environment for everyone that comes through our door.

"We’re especially excited to welcome guests to our new restaurant, Brickworks, which will offer a carefully curated menu that will transition throughout the day." Valor Hospitality manages 40 hotels across the UK, and is known for its multi-million-pound renovations, upgrades and rebranding projects. The transformation of the Fareham-Solent hotel is just one example of their work for well-known hotel brands and independent hotels.
