Caprice Bourret has been enjoying the laid-back Ibizan life for more than 20 years, splitting her time between her home in London and the family's island holiday home. Two years after swapping their 100-acre property for a smaller, four-acre plot, Caprice invited OK! to take a look at the gorgeous home and meet her sons Jax and Jett, aged 11. The 52-year-old entrepreneur, model and actress has spent the last two years diligently renovating and decorating the incredible home, and the results are stunning.

Just a 12-minute walk from the beach, the home and its private pools, gym, huge outdoor entertaining space, and vast primary suite, has been worth the "labour of love", Caprice tells us. “With the last house, my husband was kind of looking after everything and then one day, I looked at the spreadsheet and the amount we spent on the running costs and said, ‘No, no, honey, there’s a new sheriff in town now,’” she laughs. “It’s not about being dominant or about being a ‘meanie’.

I’ve been saying it for 20 years, but I come from a very humble background and I never want to go back to that. I’m a discount buyer, a wheeler-dealer. I’m lean and mean, and I’m efficient, so I told him, ‘That’s the end, I’m running the show now’ and so we sold it!".

. Caprice says part of the reason why it took her two years to get the house finished was that she was determined to keep a close eye on her spending. “It took me a year to buy all the furniture because I’d wait for the sales,” she says.

“There’s not a single item here that I paid full price for. I found five websites that I loved, and I would wait and wait and wait, and then I’d buy in a sale." The home has a pool big enough for all the family, as well as its own basketball court, tennis court and football pitch.

"My kids are obsessed with football so, of course, we sorted out a football field. We all love to play tennis, literally my entire family, cousins, uncles, aunts, of course the kids, myself and husband, so we go the tennis court!." Caprice says her time in Ibiza is the only time she's really social, and she's made sure the house is ready for the many guests that come and stay.

"As it stands, we normally have about 18 people staying at the house at all times!". All the beds in the house as "quadruple kingsize beds", Caprice jokes, and she's a huge fan of putting "500,000 cushions" on them. "It takes me literally two hours every night to take off all the bedding accessories but I really don't care because I love it".

The colour scheme includes a lot of rich browns and khakis, tying into the home's earthy vibes. Her primary suite also has its own terrace looking out over the tennis and basketball courts, swimming pool and football pitch. As with most areas of the house, Caprice designed the space with her family in mind.

"When I'm cooking I like to have the boys right here watching me, it's a nice time for us to catch up on the day and see how they're doing." "When I saw this marble I thought, 'Oh my gosh it's a little bit expensive but I've got to have it, so it's the focal point. It's just such a beautiful grade and beautiful slab of marble.

" She also loves a "masculine look" so opted for black cabinetry with strip lighting inside. Caprice said she opted for low-maintenance outdoor space in part to stick with the traditional Ibizan nature, but also to keep down her running costs. There's lots of palm trees dotted around and beautifully-built natural stone walls.

Caprice and her husband Ty Comfort share 11-year-old sons Jax and Jett, and part of the reason for selling their last home was because it was no longer working for the boys. “It wasn’t servicing the family anymore and it had 100 acres. Why do we need acres? We don’t, it’s ridiculous.

I don’t need to be a big shot, I don’t care about being a big shot," she says. "I’m very happy to go smaller. I want practicality, I want comfort and I want entertainment for my children – those are my priorities, not the number of acres.

” Despite it having a much smaller plot than their old Ibizan home, there is still plenty of space for the family to find a quiet spot and do their own thing. The outdoor dining table comfortably seats 22 guests - or 30 at a push, Caprice says, and was made for them by by a family friend. The space also has a fully-equipped outside kitchen, gym with Pelotonin bike and weights, a ping-pong table, outdoor bar.

Caprice has rarely allowed her kids into her professional world, or into the public eye at all. It's been her job, she says, to protect them from the impact of what she herself signed for but they didn't. “I’ve never brought my kids into the public eye, it can be daunting,” she explains.

“I signed up for it but they didn’t. I’ve never taken them to premieres or even talked about them much. In the last 11 years, I can count the amount of photoshoots on my left hand.

“I’m sure some judgmental people think it’s because I don’t care, but it’s been my job as their mum to protect them until they made that decision for themselves." Caprice's living room is decorated in her favourite "very warm, very earthy" tones, with lots of natural texture like leather, rattan and wood to contrast with the modern Ibiza vibe. As a self-confessed "wheeler dealer" who loves a bargain, she also turned an unused door into a practical coffee table.

The outdoor area also has a large sectional sofa where the family can enjoy "a little drinky-drink after dinner", Caprice says, and for her children to "annihilate" her in a game of backgammon or chess. It's also decorated with artwork made by her kids and their friends. While most of the furniture was chosen specifically for this house, there’s one thing we instantly recognise from Caprice’s old home – a huge picture frame containing just a fraction of her 250-plus magazine covers hung in a stairwell.

She's incredibly proud of how hard she's worked and what she's achieved, she says..
