AN INQUEST into the death of a murder victim has concluded after her killer was jailed.

Amie Gray, 34, was killed in a brutal stabbing attack on Durley Chine beach on May 24. Ms Gray died from 10 knife injuries while her friend, Leanne Miles, aged 39, was rushed to hospital with around 20 wounds. Following a trial at Winchester Crown Court in December, Nasen Saadi, 21 and of Croydon, was found guilty of murder and attempted murder.

The court heard how Saadi travelled to Bournemouth and paced the seafront in the days before the attack. On the evening of May 24 he targeted the two women who were sat by a fire on the beach and stabbed them multiple times. It was said that he chased Ms Gray down the beach before following Ms Miles up towards the promenade.

Following his sentencing at Winchester Crown Court on March 28, Saadi was jailed for life with a minimum term of 39 years and 65 days. Senior coroner for Dorset, Rachael Griffin, confirmed at a hearing at Dorset Coroner’s Court on April 7 that the inquest will not be resumed following the criminal proceedings..
