Mboweni died last Saturday after a short illness at the age of 65. His Special Official Funeral Category 2 will take place at the Nkowankowa Stadium in Tzaneen, Limpopo tomorrow morning.
When passing his condolences to Mboweni’s family, President Cyril Ramaphosa said Mboweni served the nation as an activist, economic policy innovator and champion of labour rights, with a sharp focus on fiscal discipline and economic transformation.
