Indore (Madhya Pradesh): In a shocking incident of betrayal, a helper conspired with former company employees to rob his companion, a truck driver, of Rs 1.62 lakh in the Gandhi Nagar area on Friday night. The police arrested two accused and recovered Rs 25,000 in cash within few hours of the crime.

However, two accomplices are still at large. According to the police, one Bahadur Patel, a resident of Bardari village, lodged a complaint stating that he is a truck driver employed by a snack company. On Friday, he had loaded snacks from Bardari village to Khandwa district with his helper, Nitesh Ahirwar, a resident of Sagar district.

After completing the delivery, they received Rs1.62 lakh, which Bahadur kept under the driver's seat. On their way back to Indore, the helper claimed he was feeling unwell and asked the driver to stop the vehicle near Bohra Colony on Super Corridor, citing vomiting as an excuse.

While Bahadur Patel was distracted, Nitesh called his accomplices Ankit Chandel of Vidisha district (a former employee of the same snack company), Prakash Kurmi and Surendra alias Gyarisilal, both also from Vidisha district. Together, they robbed the truck driver of the entire amount. Gandhi Nagar Police Station in-charge Anil Yadav interrogated Nitesh Ahirwar and he confessed his crime.

Based on his information, the police arrested Gyarisilal and recovered Rs 25,000. During questioning, Gyarisilal allegedly told police that the remaining money was with Ankit Chandel and Prakash Kurmi. The police are actively searching for the two absconding accused to recover the rest of the stolen money.
