By T Ivan Nischal Published Date - 18 April 2025, 05:00 PM Hyderabad: Acer-branded mobile devices have now been commercially introduced in India under a trademark licensing agreement signed between Indkal Technologies and Acer, Inc. The launch event, as expected, would begin its first-ever foray into smartphones with two models, Acer Super ZX and Acer Super ZX Pro.
The smartphones flaunt leading MediaTek chipsets in the segment and come armed with premium features at price points low enough to be considered competitive. The Acer Super ZX is meant for true value seekers, serving up a 6.78′′ FHD+ 120Hz display-probably the first in the build world-which is powered by the MediaTek 6300 chipset and Stock Android 15.
The rear three cameras are topped with a 64MP Sony LYTIATM sensor, making it some of the best image quality that can be achieved. It comes with 33W fast charging and comes in configurations of 4-4GB RAM with 128 GB storage to 8-8GB RAM with 256 GB. The colors include Black, Blue, and Green.

The cameras comprise a 50MP OIS Sony IMX882 primary, 5MP ultra-wide, and bokeh sensors.
It also becomes the first of its series to boast of a 50MP AI front camera with FHD video recording. Like all other models, these units also have the capability of running on Android 15, support 5G and dual SIM introduction to add manufacturing in India under the Make in India initiative. The devices would hence be made available across all online and offline retail platforms.
Indkal’s aim is to bring forth disruption in the smart phone markets of approximately 15,000 to 50,000 rupees, giving features of high end grade levels to masses in a very affordable mainstream range.
