Bollywood singers charge a bomb for single songs and manage to win millions of hearts with their melodies. Lata Mangeshkar created quite a stir in Bollywood when she demanded the same remuneration as lyricists and composers in films in the 60s. Mohammed Rafi and Manna Dey reportedly charged Rs 300 per song at the time and after Lata Mangeshkar's stand things started changing in Bollywood.
