Bangladesh pacer Hasan Mahmud bowled a fiery spell which saw the visitors take 3 important wickets in the first session itself. The hosts were looking in serious jeopardy when they got restricted to 144/6 in the second session. However, an amazing partnership between Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja saw India cross the 300-run way before the day’s end.
Ashwin went on to score his sixth century in Test cricket while Jadeja finished the day unbeaten on 86 as the Men in Blue finished the day on 339/6 after 80 overs. It will be interesting to see if the duo of Ashwin and Jadeja will be able to take India over the 400-run mark..
