Listen to Story India hammered England in the semi-final of the T20 World Cup 2024 in Guyana on Thursday, 27 June. The Indian team travelled to Barbados straightaway with a little over 24 hours remaining for the summit clash against South Africa. After a long, rain-marred match, India decided to cancel their practice in Barbados ahead of the final and take a rest day instead.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) revealed the decision via an official press release and added that the team will not be holding any pre-match press conference in Barbados ahead of the final of the tournament. "India have cancelled their training session," ICC said via their release. The ICC however added that India had already addressed their press conference in Guyana before leaving for Barbados, which they will release late on 28 June, Friday.
