CORTE MADERA Suspect booked after theft reports at mall Central Marin police arrested a man who allegedly shoplifted from two clothing stores at a Corte Madera shopping center. The alleged crimes were reported Saturday afternoon at the Village at Corte Madera, said Central Marin police Sgt. Jeff Peterson.

He said the stolen merchandise was estimated to be worth more than $950. Matthew Nelson Littrell, 47, of Mill Valley was booked into the Marin County Jail on suspicion of burglary, grand theft, shoplifting, possessing drug paraphernalia and violating his probation conditions. He is being held without bail because of the alleged probation offense.



LARKSPUR Hearings slated on plans to build homes The Planning Commission will review two home construction proposals at its meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 22. One project would involve building a 3,749-square-foot house on the vacant property at 360 Via la Paz in Greenbrae.

It would require a floor-area-ratio exception, a setback variance, a permit to remove three heritage oak trees and a fence-height exception, according to the city. The other project would involve demolishing the home and garage at 64 Frances Ave. and building a 2,691-square-foot house with an attached 752-square-foot garage.

SAUSALITO Vehicle chargers placed at City Hall Four chargers for electric vehicles have been installed for the public in the parking lot at City Hall. The city said the stations have Tesla labels but can charge other vehicles. The cost is 42 cents per kilowatt-hour.
