THESE defendants have had their cases heard in court recently. The three defendants were accused of offences including criminal damage and failing to comply with the sex offender notification requirements. Their cases were heard at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court.

Here’s a round-up of the cases. , 24, of Maesybont, admitted damaging a woman’s property five times in less than a year. Wood was alleged to have damage items at an address in Cross Hands at a point between December 31, 2023, and February 1 last year, and on two occasions between January 1 and September 30 last year.



He was accused of further charges of criminal damage at the woman’s Cross Hands address on September 17 and November 17 last year. Wood admitted five offences of criminal damage at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on March 12. He was fined £369 and was ordered to pay £85 in costs.

, 25, of Brynteg in Ammanford, failed to comply with the notification requirements of the sex offender register. Lay-McPhillips was accused of failing to complete the annual registration on December 21 required as part of the notification requirements for sex offenders. He pleaded guilty, and was sentenced to a 12-month community order at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on March 11.

Lay-McPhillips must also complete 60 hours of unpaid work and must pay £85 in costs. , 56, of Ffarmers, near Llanwrda, damaged a CCTV camera lens at a Carmarthenshire address. Lockheart was accused of criminal damage in Taliaris on August 6 last year.

He pleaded guilty, and was fined £80 at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on March 25. He must also pay £85 in costs..
