Taylor Swift has endorsed Kamala Harris Back during the run-up to the Agreement referendum in 1998, I remember well, as most people who lived through it will, the emotion-charged atmosphere of those days. Voters here were about to make the most momentous political choice of their generation. People whose families, friends, neighbours had been murdered, people who had themselves been grievously maimed or were close to someone who had been, people who’d seen their community ripped apart by unforgivable savagery were being asked to go for a deal which would see a very large number of the perpetrators walk free.
