Williamsburg County School District was the recent recipient of the Image Award, presented by the HomeTown Chamber. The HomeTown Chamber recently presented the Williamsburg County School District with the Image Award. The Image Award is presented to individuals, organizations and businesses who are members of Williamsburg HomeTown Chamber and who make a difference in their community through beautification and preservation of their property in Williamsburg County.
The District has added a new fence at Kenneth Gardner Leadership Academy and is planning grounds projects that include shrubs and mulch. This school year the Williamsburg County School District increased test scores (secondary), exemplary science of reading scores (elementary), and formed a partnership with Gear Up which includes over $35 million to be allocated among five districts. The Chamber congratulates the school district’s accomplishments and looks forward to their commitment to better the community through future endeavors.
