Kanye West told Jay-Z he was sorry but didn't specify the reason and shared that he feels disappointed by the music industry. Kanye West has apologised to Jay-Z after making controversial comments about his and Beyonce’s children, Sir and Rumi. His original remarks, shared on X (formerly Twitter), were part of a series of outbursts where he also criticised his ex-wife Kim Kardashian.
In the recent post, West told Jay-Z he was sorry but didn’t specify whether he was apologising for the comments about the twins or other past issues. West shared that he feels disappointed by the music industry. Despite all his hard work and sacrifices, the singer claimed that when he needed support, he felt abandoned by his peers.
The Carnival singer wrote, “I’m sorry Jay Z. I be feeling bad about my tweet but I still feel I gave my life to this industry and thought so many people were my family but when I needed family on some real shit none of these rap niggas had my back." Kanye West’s apology comes after he had earlier posted a tweet (now deleted) in March where he questioned the mental abilities of Beyonce and Jay-Z’ twins, Rumi and Sir Carter.
The post left many upset, including Beyonce’s mother, Tina Knowles. Without directly naming Kanye, Tina shared a response where she defended her family, including her older granddaughter, Blue Ivy Carter. In a video she posted on Instagram, Tina said, “I’m on the set of a photoshoot today for my book and I wanted to tell you all a corny joke because I have all this glamorous hair and makeup.
Want to hear it? Here it goes. What happens when a snowman throws a tantrum? He has a meltdown." Beyonce’s father, Mathew Knowles, criticised Kanye more openly.
In an interview with TMZ, he said, “People pay a price for being stupid, especially in the music industry." Commenting about the Gold Digger singers’ mental health, he added, “I’m hopeful Kanye gets the type of help he needs, in terms of mental health." Following Kanye’s comments, Beyonce and Jay-Z chose not to say anything in public.
However, reports suggested that they were thinking about taking legal steps against him. A source told Page Six that Kanye “has spoken about their children in a vulgar and offensive manner." They were not ready to ignore what was said.
