‘I’m down €12,000 after buying a kitchen from Homebase’

Q I bought a kitchen from Homebase in September. It was due for delivery last month. I phoned up the branch that I bought the kitchen from and was told that the company had gone into liquidation in Ireland, and the person I spoke to didn’t know what would happen to my kitchen order.

The kitchen cost me nearly €12,000. I can’t afford to be this much out of pocket. Is there anything I can do? Haley, Co Donegal.
