And he shared with his followers the three main questions that may be asked about under the car’s bonnet.Firstly, the driving instructor said you may be asked what is the best way to check the engine oil. For this, he told his followers that you first make sure the engine is off and the car is parked on level ground.
Then you open the bonnet and locate the dipstick before wiping it clean, reinsert it fully, and then removing it again to check the level. The oil should be between the minimum and maximum marks; if it’s low, top it up carefully, ensuring you do not overfill. He said: “Once the oil is between the minimum and maximum marks, you’re all good.
“Your dipstick may be located in the oil cap, so have a look.”Next, the driving instructor said you may be asked about the correct way to check the coolant level in your car. The driving instructor said to first make sure the engine is cold, then open the bonnet and locate the coolant reservoir.
After this, check that the coolant is between the minimum and maximum markings on the side of the reservoir. If it’s low, top it up with the correct type of coolant. Never open the cap when the engine is hot, as this is dangerous.
Lastly, the driving instructor said the most important question is where things like brake fluid or coolant are located. This helps confirm that you are a responsible driver who can keep the car running safely and spot potential issues before they become dangerous. The driving instructor said: “Make sure you know everything under the bonnet as best as you can.
“Get familiar with what’s under the bonnet of your car, and you should be fine.”Driving test tipThis comes after another TikToker shared the little-known mistake on the day of your driving test that could cost you €85.@Next_level_driving_school on TikTok shares useful tips and tricks on their page.
Faded L-plates could give your driving instructor reason to cancel your test, resulting in the loss of your test fee.He said: “It’s probably best not to turn up to your test with faded L-plates, as your test might not go ahead, and it will be a waste of €85.“So make sure your L-plates are in good condition and not faded, so the tester doesn’t have a reason not to go out on the test with you.
