AN Irish driving instructor has revealed how you can pass your test first time around. Learner drivers must do a certain number of things correctly to be able to pass their test. Lyle, known on TikTok as @Lyletheinstructor , is a hugely popular instructor with over 70,000 followers on the platform.

And he took to TikTok to tell novice drivers how they can pass their test first time. Lyle revealed that the first thing he would do is prepare for what will happen on the day of the test. Preparing for what will happen on the day of your driving test is crucial because it helps reduce anxiety and boosts your confidence.

It also helps ensure you’re fully ready for each part of the test, from the pre-drive checks to the actual driving maneuvering, which increases your chances of passing. Lyle said: "So you should know that the test goes like this, get into the test centre, you go into the office. "Theory questions, road signs and then out to the car.

"Bonnet questions, then inside the car you may be asked some more questions — he's going to ask you to check the indicators and the brake light, along with the hand signals." He then revealed that once you leave the test centre, you will head towards a housing estate to do three manoeuvres — the turnabout, the reverse around the corner, and maybe the hill start. Lyle added: "Sometimes they do and sometimes they don't, but be prepared for it either way.

" After leaving the housing estate, the driving instructor said you will be doing more junctions and roundabouts along with traffic lights and industrial roads to cover different types of situations. Lyle also warned novice drivers to be comfortable with all the questions that could be asked about road signs. These are generally asked before the test starts, and answering them correctly will boost your chances of passing.

Lyle added: "If I get them right, I have a good start to the test, and the rest of it will probably go nicely." "If I get them wrong, I'm probably going to be thrown off from the get-go." And the driving instructor told his followers to ensure they are comfortable with the manoeuvres and in traffic, along with practicing around the test area.

Lyle added: "Practice makes perfect, but the more hours you get in the car, the better you are going to be." This comes after another TikToker has shared the little-known mistake on the day of your driving test that could cost you €85. @Next_level_driving_school on TikTok shares useful tips and tricks on their page.

Faded L plates could give your driving instructor a reason to cancel your test, and you may lose out on the money. He said: "Probably better off not turning up to your test with the L plate being faded like this because you're test might not go ahead and it will be a waste of €85." "So make sure your L plates are in good condition.

They're not faded so that the tester doesn't have the chance to not go out on the test with you.".
