I'm a Celebrity stars are banned from bringing makeup into the jungle, but this year, ITV viewers are questioning whether that rule has been dropped or if image-conscious campmates are breaking it. This year's campmates such as Tulisa, Jane Moore and Coleen Rooney all appear to be wearing a fair amount of makeup on their brows, lips and eyes, leading X users to ask if a few of them have snuck products into the backpacks. One asked: "Why isn't Tulisa and Jane's make-up coming off? " while a second wondered: "Sorry, but how have Tulisa and Jane still got make-up on? " Well we have the answer and it turns out the stars are actually abiding by the no makeup rule.
Instead they have found a clever roundabout way to cheat the beauty ban in the form of semi-permanent makeup, the Mirror reports. This is not the first year that I'm A Celeb stars have indulged in pre-jungle tattoo transformations to ensure they look made-up on screen, but with at least three of this year's campmates sporting various forms of semi-permanent make-up, it definitely seems to have taken off as a trend. Tulisa took to Instagram shortly before jetting off to Australia to update her followers on her jungle-ready beauty treatments.
She wrote: "I tatted the lips to match the brows, couldn't help myself! " Tulisa seems to have opted for a full set of eyelash extensions to kick off the first few weeks of the show. However, as lash extensions require infills every 2-3 weeks, her eyes may appear slightly more bare as the show continues. Jane hasn't shared any beauty treatments she tried before entering the jungle on her social media, but beauty experts would likely agree that her defined eyes and eyebrows are due to semi-permanent makeup.
It's a safe bet that she's had her upper and lower eyelids outlined with tattoo eyeliner, and her brows darkened with microblading. She might also have had a good brow tint just before leaving. Coleen looks fresh-faced and stunning, but it's evident her brows have been structured and tinted with the help of microblading or microshading.
Like Jane, Coleen didn't share any beauty updates on her Instagram page before departing for her stint on the ITV show, but we know microblading is a treatment she's used in the past. Semi-permanent makeup artist Liz Clough posted a photo of Coleen in August last year captioned "Brow top-up today for Coleen', and shared her impressive before and after photos. We suspect the mum-of-four popped back in to see Liz in recent months for a touch-up.
