Everton are expected to be busy in their first full transfer window since reappointing David Moyes.Moyes returned to Merseyside in mid-January and has more than steadied the ship since succeeding Sean Dyche, most recently earning a draw against Arsenal at Goodison Park. While Everton may still be down in 15th place, relegation has never been a serious concern under Moyes and the Toffees have proved far tougher to beat.

The hope now is that Moyes can add to what he has in the close-season, with the aim of potentially challenging for a top-half finish in the first season at the new Bramley-Moore Dock home. And journalist Alan Myers has now given his personal verdict on a new name touted with a possible move to Everton.Dan Friedkin will hopefully back Moyes this summer (Credit: Imago)Everton urged to sign Tyrese Campbell from Sheffield UnitedTyrese Campbell has hit double figures for goals in the Championship at Sheffield United this season, doing so in 18 starts and 29 appearances overall.

Campbell has been in particularly good form over the past five weeks or so, having netted four of those goals across his past seven appearances.FixtureGoals scoredQPR 1-2 Sheffield United1Sheffield United 1-0 Preston1Sheffield United 1-1 Bristol City1Sheffield Wednesday 0-1 Sheffield United0Sheffield United 3-1 Coventry City1Oxford United 1-0 Sheffield United0Sheffield United 0-1 Millwall0Campbell has been in good form for Sheffield UnitedThat form saw the 25-year-old this week voted the PFA Fans’ Player of the Month for March in the Championship. When asked by an Everton supporter on X (9 April) if he would take a punt on Campbell, Myers responded: “I’d love to see it for personal reasons but I will be interesting to see how things go if Sheff Utd come up this year.

”The “personal reasons” Myers refers to was his close connection with Kevin Campbell, the father of Tyrese who passed away in June 2024.Kevin himself was a fan favourite at Goodison Park, where he represented the Toffees over seven seasons.I’d love to see it for personal reasons but I will be interesting to see how things go if Sheff Utd come up this year— Alan Myers (@ALANMYERSMEDIA) April 9, 2025 Everton could do with more firepowerMoyes has made the most of what he has, but there is no doubt that the Scotsman could do with far more ammunition in attack.

That is not even accounting for the loss of Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who now looks certain to depart Merseyside in the coming weeks.Campbell appears raw on the face of it, but his form over the past month has been terrific and he seems an exciting talent. However, a move can surely be ruled out should Sheffield United earn promotion, which at this moment in time is looking a realistic probability.
