In case you missed it, the is now operational. This extension adds five new stations to the existing line, expanding its reach to five cities: Quezon City, Caloocan, Manila, Pasay, and Paranaque. The newly opened stations are Redemptorist – Aseana Station, MIA Road Station, PITX Station, Ninoy Aquino Avenue Station, and Dr.

Santos Station (formerly Sucat; 5 minutes away from SM City Sucat). This extension adds 27 kilometers to the line’s total length. The Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC) has implemented the existing LRT-1 train service hours for all 25 stations.



The fare structure for the new stations will also follow the existing system, with a boarding fare of Php 13.29 and a distance fare of Php 1.21 per kilometer.

The maximum Single Journey Ticket fare for an end-to-end trip from Fernando Poe Jr. Station (formerly Roosevelt) to Dr. Santos Station and vice versa is Php 45.

The Stored Value Card fare for the same trip is Php 43. All stations have been designed to be accessible to persons with disabilities, featuring elevators, escalators, and tactile guides. This extension is expected to accommodate an additional 80,000 passengers daily to LRT-1’s current total ridership of 323,000.
