Chief Prosecutor Muhammad Tajul Islam said that the prosecution filed the plea and the three-member tribunal, led by Justice Md Golam Mortuza Mozumder allowed the petition. The chief prosecutor said Palak knew about the planning of the July-August genocides.

Palak was arrested on August 14 and has been in police remand for 37 days in six cases so far. Besides, Abul Hasan, a former officer-in-charge (OC) of Jatrabari Police Station, will be interrogated by the investigation agency of International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) on December 15 in a case filed over the murder of student Imam Hasan Taim during the recent mass uprising in Dhaka. The three-member tribunal led by Justice Md Golam Mortuza Mozumder passed an order on Thursday, allowing a plea of the prosecution and set January 15 for Submitting the probe report.
The ICT on December 4 showed Abul Hasan arrested in the case lodged over the brutal killing of Imam Hasan Taim. Taim, a second-year student at Adamji Nagar Government College in Narayanganj, was shot in a point-blank range on July 20 near the Kajla foot over bridge. The injured Taim was taken to Jatrabari Police Station and confirmed his death by reportedly torturing, according to a prosecution sources.
