Brighton is beginning to get in the Christmas spirit as the city’s ever-popular ice rink makes its return. The ice rink in front of the Royal Pavilion has proved a firm festive favourite in recent years, welcoming visitors since 2010 for twilight skating in front of one of the city biggest landmarks. Now, the rink is making its return once again as it opens today ahead of the busy Christmas period.

Shella Parkin, of organisers Laine Ltd, said the rink would be keeping conscious of the climate crisis, running the attraction purely on renewable energy.
