Donald Trump, as has become clear, is not your average politician. While it would be a mistake to say he campaigned in poetry (or if he did, it was more like those angry spoken-word rants by Jello Biafra or Henry Rollins), he has undeniably committed that most unusual of political sins: doing precisely what he said he would do when he was campaigning.
