Ian O’Doherty: Five years after start of Covid pandemic, we need a robust, transparent inquiry

Here’s a cheery thought: this week marks the fifth anniversary of the Covid pandemic. Has it really been half-a- decade since the World Health Organisation held a rather gloomy press conference on March 11, 2020, and soberly announced that the escalating outbreak “can now be reasonably described as a pandemic”?.
