Daniel Dubois wasted no time in calling for his own rematch with Oleksandr Usyk, coming into the ring during Usyk’s post-fight interview after the Ukrainian’s second win this year over Tyson Fury. Dubois (22-2, 21 KO) lost to Usyk in 2023 by ninth round knockout, but it is the most controversial win of Usyk’s career to date, owing to a called low blow that Dubois felt was a clean body shot and should have been ruled a stoppage win in his favor. “I want my revenge! I want my revenge, Usyk,” Dubois said, with a slight smile.

“Well done tonight. God bless, but I want my revenge. Let’s get it! Let’s go!” Usyk (23-0, 14 KO) immediately called over Turki Alalshikh, and requested that the Saudi promoter, “Make a fight with Daniel Dubois.

I’m ready. Next fight, no problem,” he said. “Now I’m going back home for a little bit of rest, but I’m ready.

When the Usyk vs Fury rematch became official, it meant that Usyk had to vacate the IBF title, which meant Dubois was promoted from interim status. He solidified his claim with a fifth round knockout win over Anthony Joshua on Sept.

21 at Wembley Stadium. Right now, Dubois has a Feb. 22 title defense he cannot afford to overlook against Joseph Parker, who is also in fantastic form at the moment.

Parker (35-3, 23 KO) is far from a pushover or gimme opponent, and if Dubois looks past him and toward a bigger fight with Usyk, he could be dooming himself..
