IF your Christmas tree is looking a little scrawny this year, don't worry these decorating steps will help revamp it. One woman revealed the process she uses to completely transform her tree. In her viral video , TikTok user Eva Smith ( @evasmithholiday ) talked her followers through each of her decorating steps.
She explained that she going for a "vintage" look with her Christmas tree decorations. For her first step, the TikToker assembled her plastic tree and fluffed the branches. She then wrapped the trunk of the tree with a string of white fairy lights.
Next, she strung lights around each individual branch of her tree, covering them all. Eva then placed her "warm-toned" ornaments around the trunk of tree. She explained that she begins by placing them close to the trunk and works her way outward for the duration of her decorating process.
For balance, she focuses on placing "cool-toned" ornaments beside the warm tones. Next, Eva took out her larger ornaments using them to fill out the tree. She also recommended using this time to add more lights if you notice any bald spots.
Then she worked her way down in size with her ornaments, from medium to small before finally adding her "tiny" decorations. To further fluff and fill out the tree, Eva added a garland to the branches. You can pick up a Green Festive Christmas Garland for just £2.

You'll need to treat your tree just like a houseplant and give it water and attention. Make sure the container has good drainage - and it's a good idea to put something underneath to catch the excess water. Check the soil everyday to make sure it's not drying out.
If it feels dry, give it some water. If it still feels moist, leave it alone as too much water can also kill a tree. Also check the LED bulbs on your tree lights aren't too hot as they could burn it, and keep your tree away from radiators.
When Christmas is over, try planting it in the garden so you can dig it up and use it again next year. It's a good idea to take it out of its pot when you do re-plant it though, as large trees don't survive well in pots as their roots need space to grow. "Is that tree on Ozempic?" joked a shocked commenter.
"I truly had to trust the process," wrote one impressed viewer. "This tree is insane and I love it," said a second follower. "I hated this.
And then I loved it, wow," commented a third person. "Wow! I did not have high hopes for that scrawny tree but you made it beautiful," said another TikTok user. "I was so sceptical at the first photo but this turned out exceptionally well!" agreed one viewer.
"How is it so MAGICAL?" asked another person..
