There is so much pressure to travel really far to fulfil Instagrammable moments with children be that Father Christmas meet and greets or light shows. However, for the past four years, I have been lucky enough to attend Knowsley Safari Park's Enchanted light trail that is just down the road, perfectly priced and ideal for young and old alike. So even though I'm eight months pregnant with baby No 2, I felt more than ok taking my three year old son on the familiar but nevertheless totally exciting adventure.

Firstly there is the trail starts with a glittering archway and through that you see lit up animals from Polar Bears to Penguins to Flamingos and Tigers adding festive fun without the usual elves and Father Christmas' on repeat.
