As Teofimo Lopez gets set for his return this weekend, defending his WBO title against Steve Claggett, Top Rank takes fans behind the scenes of camp where Lopez says everything is going smoothly. As Lopez looks to continually develop as a fighter he says here that he’s realizing that he still hasn’t hit his ceiling, which he expects to do within the next couple of years. “I don’t want to say I’m in my prime yet.

I think it’s too soon, I’m only 26,” Lopez said. “I think it’s way too soon to talk like that. I think I’ll hit my true prime at like 28.

We got like another year or so to see that come through. “But at least at this moment in time I’m feeling a huge difference. I’m being more fluid, I’m breaking down these fighters that I’m sparring with lately just with rhythm and timing.

” Also on the card will be Cuba’s Robeisy Ramirez who will take on Brandon Leon Benitez in a 10 round co-featured fight. He too is feeling confident despite coming off a loss last December. “My (mind) is good, everything in the ring is good,” Ramirez says.

“That’s it. The boxing is the same, but I need a good (mentality).” Check out the full video feature of both fighters in camp in the video link above.
