It may still be September, but in the name of journalism, I've opened my PrettyLittleThing advent calendar early to help you decide if this year's offering is worth your money. It can be overwhelming choosing which beauty calendar to buy each year, with so many brands selling their own, so hopefully, the Mirror's shopping and beauty team can help by giving you our thoughts on the majority of the 2024 beauty advent calendars. As well as each calendar containing different products behind each door, the price tag for each calendar also varies, with some costing hundreds of pounds.
This year's PLT advent calendar retails for £55 , so it's one of the more budget-friendly options. Don't let the cheaper price tag fool you, as it still contains some fabulous products from popular brands. Its contents is worth £195 , giving you a lovely saving of £140.

I resisted opening the calendar and slid it under my bed where it has been for the last two weeks. Now, as I write this article, I'm about to dive in - stop reading now if you don't want to know exactly what's inside.
I opened the calendar in order of the numbers, but I've mixed them up so that you get a little bit of a surprise as to which product is behind each number if you decide to purchase it. I was delighted to find that many of the 24 products inside the calendar I've heard of but have never used before, so I'm very excited to try them for the first time. This includes the original West Barn Co Soap Brows with Bamboo Spoolie (RRP £15) that I'm intrigued to see what it can do to my dark and currently rather bushy eyebrows.
Another product I've wanted to try for a while that's included in the calendar is the St Tropez Bronzing Water Serum with vitamins C and D (RRP £25) which will be perfect for using on my pale face during the winter months. As both of these products alone would cost me a total of £40, I truly believe the PLT advent calendar is worth every penny . One of the products in the calendar made me feel unexpectedly nostalgic - the Peaches and Cream Lip Liner (RRP £3.
95) in the shade Hotline. I had my makeup done at Peaches and Cream in Liverpool back in 2015 for my high school prom, so I was delighted to discover PLT has included the brand in this year's calendar. Some of the products inside the calendar I already own similar versions of, such as the fluffy headband, tweezers and eyelash curlers, however this isn't an issue as it means I've got spares for when my current ones break or get grubby.
If I wanted to, I could also use some of the items as stocking fillers for family and friends, saving myself even more money. The only downside for me is that it included two lots of gorgeous false eyelashes, however there's no glue included.
I've only ever worn lashes when I've had my makeup professionally done, so I don't own any lash glue, meaning I will have to buy this separately in order to wear the lashes.
