Former President Donald Trump expressed his desire to meet the woman who alerted authorities to the vehicle driven by a man accused of attempting to assassinate him. This incident occurred on Sunday at his golf course in Florida . Speaking to supporters at a town hall in Flint, Michigan , Trump recounted the events leading up to the foiled attack.

He described how the suspect fled the golf course and was later spotted by a woman driving nearby. “She saw a man running on a busy street and thought he looked suspicious. She decided to follow him,” Trump explained.

According to Trump, the woman parked her car behind the suspect's vehicle and took photos of the license plate before sending them to the sheriff's office. Her quick actions led to the suspect's arrest by Martin County sheriff's deputies on Interstate 95. Trump praised the woman’s vigilance, asking, “In a thousand of these incidents, would even one person have acted like this? She did.

I want to meet her, and I hope to make that happen.” Meanwhile, Vice President Kamala Harris is campaigning in Pennsylvania, condemning political violence as “unacceptable.” She emphasised the importance of civil dialogue, saying, “Violence has no place.

” The shooting incident marks the second close call for Trump in recent months. He recounted hearing gunfire at his golf course and praised the Secret Service for swiftly evacuating him. Trump has since suggested that the rhetoric from Harris and President Biden is endangering his safety.

"They use highly inflammatory language. I could use it too—and much better than they can—but I choose not to," he said..
