AMY Huberman has shared with fans a "special gift" she has received that once belonged to her late father. The popular actress is married to Irish rugby legend Brian O'Driscoll and together they share three children. Amy's father, Harold, passed away in 2022 after suffering from Parkinson's disease.
He was 84-years-old when he passed away, leaving behind a mighty legacy. As the Finding Joy star's dad was a prominent fashion designer with his own self-titled label, Huberman. Huberman predominantly specialised in designing women’s cashmere and wool coats.
Taking to her Instagram yesterday, Amy shared with fans that a jacket designed by her late dad, recently made its way to her. The mum-of-three posed for a quick snap in her hall mirror in the jacket. The double breasted calf-tan cashmere jacket featured fold over pockets and lapels.
Amy captioned the heartfelt post: "Another of my Dad’s gorgeous coats has found its way to me. "What a special gift. I have three now and I honestly treasure them so much.
I’m not sure when this was made but perhaps the 90’s. "I love that Dad designed this coat and sent it out into the world for someone to wear and love. "To weddings, concerts, sides of pitches, chats over coffees, heading out to parties, strewn over banisters, on trips to airports to travel to wherever, or on the way to visit loved ones, in arguments and make ups.
"The little bits of life lived in a coat. And now it’s here with me as its new custodian for more adventures. "And I love that a little piece of what Dad loved so much lives on.
" Friends and fans raced to the actor's comment section to gush over the adorable story behind her new piece. Actress Aisling Bea wrote: "I adore this." Comedian Deirdre O'Kane said: "It’s so beautiful too.
" RTE star Ciara Kelly commented: "A beautiful way to think about it. Plus it’s gorgeous." One fan added: "A stunning jacket.
