New Look has released a dress that's lightweight, pretty and perfect for warmer months Springtime has crept up and with it my desire to throw on a dress and bare my ankles. Ever since 2021, I've found myself particularly drawn to milkmaid dresses, and New Look has one that I think is perfect for warmer weather . I found a dress that's honestly making me want to chuck all of my others because I like it so much.
New Look's Petite Pink Floral Print Milkmaid Midi Dress is currently £49.99. It's made from a blend of viscose, polyamide and elastane which results in a strong material that still manages to be lightweight It feels a lot sturdier than my other milkmaid dresses, like this one from I Saw It First , and had a feel similar to cotton on my skin.

I will say due to the neckline it's tricky to pair a bra with this - it can be done but you risk the straps being on display.
I opted to go braless with this and found there was a small amount of support from the dress itself but it is minimal. I will say it suffers the same fate as every other dress with a slightly thicker waist band and it takes a slightly firmer tug to fasten it there. I'm between sizes but opted for a 10, my larger size, and found it was easy enough to fasten.
I think this is a great dress for this time of year as it can so easily be dressed up or down. Paired with trainers and a light jacket is great for a spring day out, with sandals you're ready for summer sunshine and with a pair of statement pink heels it even works for an evening out. I ordered this with next day delivery on Friday and had it first thing on Saturday morning.
It is the only petite dress in this style at New Look but it's got me questioning if my 4'11 frame could make the full length version work as the same style is available in black , red , white and pale blue for £47.99 and it might just be a summer essential..
