Former Ipswich Town midfielder Andy Drury has left his position as Folkestone Invicta manager. The 41-year-old departed the Isthmian Premier Division side after their 2-1 home victory against second-bottom Bognor Regis last weekend. Drury has been in charge of the Kent side since November 2023, and helped them avoid relegation last season.

However, he has been unable to led them to a play-off push this campaign. Andy Drury, pictured becoming Folkestone Invicta manager in 2023. (Image: FIFC) Invicta Chairman Josh Healey said: “Andy has put his everything into this club and worked tirelessly to help drive us forward.

“I’d like to personally thank him for the dedication and commitment he has given over the past 15 months. We’ve had a strong relationship from day one, which means this decision hasn’t been an easy one to make. “However I feel a change is necessary to take the club in the direction we want to go and to give us the best opportunity of where we want to be.

“On behalf of the club, we’re truly grateful for Andy’s contributions and wish him all the very best in his future endeavours.” Drury has previously managed Whitstable Town and Margate. He hasn't officially retired from playing.

In total, Drury made 65 appearances and scored twice for Town during his two-year spell at Portman Road between 2011 and 2013..
