It’s not even 11.00am and Tommy Bowe is already deep into his day. Most players don’t fancy a 9-5 when they finish playing, but the former Ulster, Ospreys, Ireland and Lions winger has taken on a schedule that most people wouldn’t envy and he’s loving it.

He lives a dual life now. Ireland AM doesn’t penetrate the border and, so, back home he’s still the former rugby player, yet when he comes down to Dublin he’s better known for his daily appearances on Virgin Media’s flagship morning programme..
