Tamil Nadu deputy CM Udhayanidhi Stalin CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu deputy chief minister Udhayanidhi Stalin hit back at AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami , saying that he was a poisonous mushroom to crouching cockroaches and other poisonous creatures. There was a war of words between Udhayanidhi and Palaniswami after the latter questioned the DMK govt about why all the schemes were named after former chief minister and Udhayanidhi's grandfather, M Karunanidhi . Udhayanidhi responded by questioning whether the schemes and projects of the DMK govt could be named after the cockroach that crouched in Koovathur resort to get the chief minister post.

Palaniswami retaliated by calling Udhayanidhi a 'poisonous mushroom' in a meeting held on Sunday. Udhayanidhi responded once again by saying that he was a "poisonous mushroom for some crawling cockroaches and poisonous creatures.".
