GaadiWaadi -Creta Electric to be followed by three more new Hyundai models this year, including an all-new sub-compact SUVFollowing the Creta Electric in January, Hyundai will likely launch three new cars in India later this year. One of these upcoming Hyundai models will be the company’s most crucial launch for the year. In a few months, Hyundai is likely to introduce the facelifted Ioniq 5, which it revealed in March last year.
Currently, the company is selling the oldest units of the Ioniq 5 with a 72.6 kWh battery pack, which was replaced internationally with a 77.4 kWh unit way before the facelift internationally.
The 77.4 kWh unit has been swapped with an even bigger, 84 kWh unit with the mid-cycle refresh. The new battery pack could deliver a range of well over 650 km.
The entry-level 58 kWh unit, which isn’t offered in India, has been discontinued in favour of a 63 kWh unit.In addition to bigger battery packs, the new Ioniq 5 features subtle exterior tweaks, such as a new V-shape garnish, restyled bumpers, fresh alloy wheels, an extended rear spoiler, and a rear windshield wiper and washer. Inside, a new centre console with physical seat-heater/ventilation controls, a three-spoke steering wheel, a relocated wireless smartphone charger, and a connected car Navigation Cockpit (ccNC) infotainment system are among the key updates.
