S. market research firm, announced the results of its 2024 IQS, where Hyundai Motor Group emerged as the leader among 15 global automotive groups, achieving the best overall score. Now in its 38th year, the J.

D. Power IQS is the world’s most authoritative quality survey, initiated in 1987. The study aggregates complaints reported by customers during the first three months of vehicle ownership, presenting the number of issues per 100 vehicles.

A lower score indicates higher quality satisfaction. This year’s survey encompassed 31 brands, including 17 mainstream and 14 premium brands. It surveyed approximately 100,000 customers in the U.

S. who purchased new cars between April of last year and February this year, evaluating 227 aspects of vehicle quality. Hyundai Motor Group recorded the lowest average score among the global automotive groups, at 164 points, outperforming Nissan (168 points) and General Motors (172 points), thereby clinching the top spot.
