Hyundai Motor Group announced on December11th that its high-performance electric vehicle, the Ioniq 5 N, has been selected as the 'Performance Car of the Year' at the 2025 China Car of the Year Awards. Hyundai Motor Group explained that the China Car of the Year Awards is one of the most fair and prestigious awards in the Chinese automotive industry, judged by 48 automotive journalists, influencers, and other experts. The Ioniq 5 N scored 211 points in the high-performance car category, beating the 'Mercedes AMG C63 SE Performance' (142 points) and 'Lynk & Co 03++' (127 points) to win the prestigious award.

In Yong-il, Executive Director of Hyundai Motor Group's N Business Unit in China, said, "The N brand, which entered the Chinese market for the first-time last year, is highlighting Hyundai's high-performance electrification technology with the Ioniq 5 N this year." He added, "We will continue to work hard to strengthen Hyundai's presence in the Chinese market and offer a unique experience exclusive to the N brand." The Ioniq 5 N is the first dedicated electric vehicle from Hyundai's high-performance 'N' brand, featuring a high-output 84 kWh battery and a high-performance all-wheel-drive system.



Through this, it delivers a maximum output of 478 kW (650 horsepower) and a peak torque of 78.5 kgf·m, earning praise for enhancing driving performance. Earlier, the Ioniq 5 N was also named 2023 Top Gear 'Car of the Year,' 2024 World Car Awards 'World Performance Car of the Year,' and 2024 Car and Driver 'Electric Vehicle of the Year.
