The station features the latest fast-charging technology, ensuring quick and hassle-free charging for EV users. Thunderplus , a leader in EV charging solutions, has launched its first fast-charging station in collaboration with the National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC), one of India’s top Navaratna companies. The station is located at NMDC’s corporate office in Hyderabad and marks a key step in advancing the nation’s electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure and promoting sustainable transportation.
The facility features fast-charging technology, providing electric vehicle users with efficient and convenient charging options. As the demand for EV charging solutions grows, this station will play a crucial role in supporting clean mobility and reducing carbon emissions. The station was inaugurated by Sri B Mohan Kumar, Executive Director of NMDC, in the presence of several dignitaries.
He praised Thunderplus for swiftly developing the station and providing full charging point operator (CPO) support. “This is just the beginning of many such facilities to come up in all other NMDC locations. Thus adding responsible transportation as a new thesis to our existing responsible mining," said Kumar.
Rajeev YSR, CEO of Thunderplus and Group CMO at ETO Motors, expressed pride in the collaboration. “In fact, we have developed solutions, which can generate power based on methanol and ethanol instantaneously up to 400kwh which can be further used to charge electric cars, trucks and other vehicles. This completely makes the charging station independent of the grid and make its accessible to the mining areas where grid connectivity could be a concern.
" With a user-friendly interface, real-time monitoring, and high-speed charging, the new Thunderplus station at NMDC is designed to benefit both private and commercial EV users. The company plans to expand its charging network nationwide, ensuring a greener and cleaner transport system across India..
