Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced that it has signed a management agreement with Veda Hospitality Private Limited, part of the Golyan Group, to open the Hyatt Regency Lumbini. This will be the fourth Hyatt-branded hotel in Nepal, highlighting the nation's importance in Hyatt's expansion plans for Southwest Asia. Set along the Dano River, the Hyatt Regency Lumbini will be close to popular attractions such as the Mayadevi Temple, the Gautam Buddha International Airport, Butwal, and the Nepal–India border, ensuring convenient access for global travelers, according to a press release by Hyatt.

Spanning 11 acres, the property is set to feature 175 guest rooms, diverse dining options, event and meeting spaces, and extensive amenities, including a fitness center, wellness spa, outdoor pool, and various entertainment facilities. "Nepal continues to play a significant role in Hyatt's growth strategy in the Southwest Asia region, and we look forward to continued collaboration with Golyan Group to bring international standards of hospitality to the province of Lumbini with the Hyatt Regency brand," said Dhruva Rathore, vice president of development, India & Southwest Asia, Hyatt. "The profound cultural and spiritual appeal of Lumbini, with its rich heritage, positions it as a compelling destination for travelers and locals alike.
