It’s a little extra special for Wright, a Los Angeles native who transferred from USC over the summer and is facing his old team for the first time.

However, the defense has also had some issues during the Huskers’ losing streak.
While Nebraska’s first offensive drive under Holgersen resulted in a punt after five plays, the Big Red’s defense has been really strong early on against the Trojans , who are starting a new quarterback in Jayden Maiava. USC loves to pass and will likely air it out all afternoon, so Wright and the Huskers should have more opportunities to make some plays.
