A hustings event is set to take place ahead of May's Hull and East Yorkshire Mayoral election. On Thursday, May 1, voters will elect the first-ever Mayor to head the newly-established Hull and East Yorkshire Combined Authority (HEYCA). The deadline has now passed for people to enter the race to become Mayor meaning the six announced candidates are the names that will appear on voters' ballot papers in around three weeks' time.
The candidates are as follows: Reform UK: Luke Campbell Yorkshire Party : Rowan Halstead Conservative Party : Anne Handley Green Party: Kerry Harrison Labour Party : Margaret Pinder Liberal Democrats : Mike Ross All six candidates have been invited to attend a Hull Live hustings event later this month which will be hosted by Northern Agenda Editor, Rob Parsons. Rob will be quizzing the candidates on their policies and plans for the region and the candidates will have the chance prove to voters why they should have your support. Ahead of the event, Hull Live is asking readers to get involved by submitting questions using the form below.
As many as possible will be put directly to the candidates to answer..
