The Tigers face a dramatic final day of the summer window

Hull City have a busy day ahead as they look to finish their transfer business which already stands at 11 new arrivals following Gustavo Puerta's move earlier this week. Between now and 11pm, the Tigers will hope to add a flurry of new arrivals to their ranks and give Tim Walter the players he needs to try and impact the Championship over the next few months, after what has been a fairly slow start to the season. Few clubs in the Championship have been as busy as City have, with more than 20 players leaving the latest of which was Oscar Estupinan on Thursday night, along with their former manager Liam Rosenior.

Well, ultimately, as with the window as a whole, ending the day stronger than they started it, and that will be the key across the next few hours as they look to make sure that happens. Carl Rushworth was at the MKM Stadium on Thursday night to complete the formalities of his move to City on loan from Brighton and Hove Albion. Although the Tigers signed Anthony Racioppi this summer, Rushworth has experience of this league, and playing in a similar system, so he will be key.

Abu Kamara is a top target, which we know about, so getting that over the line will be crucial. They've also been linked with Zeidane Inoussa. Bringing in Kamara would be a big step forward and give City proven quality on the right side to compliment Liam Millar on the opposite flank.

Will Jarvis has obvious talent and has shown plenty of glimpses since returning from Shelbourne, but he's still raw and his end product a Championship level needs work. Kamara was superb in League One last term and had the numbers to back it up, and there's little concern that he could make the step up. Kasey Palmer looks set to sign and he can operate off either flank if needed, though he's more comfortable in a central position and probably where he's most effective.

Key to any success this season will be putting the ball in the back of the net, something they struggled to do on a consistent basis last season. Chris Bedia and Mason Burstow have so far arrived, but the Tigers still need another one up front. Tom Cannon is a key target and they've lodged a bid with Leicester City.

The Foxes are understood to want in the region of £10m, though it's hard to see a scenario where they get that, although it is silly season, so you could never rule it out. Getting somebody like Cannon in would be a boost and give City an attacking threat they currently don't have, and their success this term may well hinge on the success of that bid.
