Hugh Grant and Colin Firth's feud continues as the Notting Hill actor threw some shade at his Bridget Jones's Diary co-star. The pair is known to have a banter-filled relationship as they embrace the frenemy energy in full. This time, Hugh appeared on Late Night With Seth Meyers on Wednesday.

As Colin is set to make an appearance on the latest Bridget Jones saga, Seth prodded Hugh about the casting decision. The actor replied: "Poor Colin . They're still wheeling him out.

No, it's fine. It's nice to give the old boy some work." Seth asked if they should see Colin's roles as an act of "charity work.

" Hugh and Seth laughed together as Hugh further joked about Colin's appearance at his age of 64. Travis Kelce gets hilarious shout out from Hugh Grant after Eras Tour show Hugh Grant ‘hated’ working on new ‘Wonka’ movie for a very specific reason He claimed Colin does his own makeup, also saying, "Yeah, and actually, he looks fine. He's had a lot of work done.

Maybe I shouldn't say that, but it's brilliant work. Whoever did it." Hugh is seemingly on a crusade against Colin, as he took jabs at him during an interview with Vanity Fair .

He claimed that he's praying on Colin's downfall as he dreams of "drinking a pint of London Pride while munching Twiglets and reading about Colin Firth having a critical and box office catastrophe." It's all in good fun, though. While Hugh and Colin played sworn enemies on screen as they both tried to win the heart of Renée Zellweger's character in the rom-com, their off-screen comments are all part of the bit.

"I get on really well with him. I like the guy, despite his outrageous rudeness about me," he told The London Standard . "It's a running joke, and we do it to each other.

I'm always hearing how he's announced that I'm too old to be in the cinema anymore." While Hugh looks back fondly on his work on Bridget Jones, he doesn't quite have the same sentiment to his newer work. In fact, he confessed that he had some issues working on Wonka.

His main issue was with the Oompa Loompa costume he wore. Hugh told Metro: “It was like a crown of thorns, very uncomfortable. I made a big fuss about it.

I couldn’t have hated the whole thing more.” DAILY NEWSLETTER: Sign up here to get the latest news and updates from the Mirror US straight to your inbox with our FREE newsletter..
