Criminals left a devastating trail of destruction after breaking into a house in Huddersfield and wrecking every room. A householder returned from holiday to find every room of their house in Edgerton had been damaged, with paint thrown around and also sprayed onto some surfaces. West Yorkshire Police released two photographs which show rooms wrecked, with paint covering many surfaces, and belongings strewn around.
One photo shows a bathroom with paint spattered and sprayed all over, while the other picture shows extensive damage to the kitchen area. A Force spokesman said: "Police are appealing for information following a burglary in the Edgerton area of Huddersfield.
"Extensive damage was caused to the property in this incident, which is reported to have occurred sometime between 18 and 27 September. "Enquiries are also ongoing to establish if anything was taken." Anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area, which is close to the A629, around these times is asked to contact Kirklees District CID on 101, or by using the livechat facility on the West Yorkshire Police website.
